Note: eBay has changed the terms of their affiliate program, and is not currently approving applications of people that do not operate a site on their own domain. If you have an approved ePN account you can use it on HubPages. If you do not have an ePN account, you are very unlikely to be approved by applying using your presence on HubPages. If you have a site on a domain that you own, we'd suggest applying using that site.

Signing up for the eBay Partner Network

The eBay Partner Network can be a great way to earn money from your Hubs by displaying related products available on the largest online auction site. It's very easy to sign up, and once you do, the eBay capsules on your Hubs can make you money when visitors follow the links to eBay and buy something.

Step 1—Signing Up

  1. Go to the eBay Partner Network homepage and click the "Join Now!" button.
  2. Set your language to English, and agree to the all of terms and conditions for eBay and Half.com.
  3. It doesn't matter whether or not you choose to associate your eBay Partner Network account to your eBay account.
  4. Agree to the eBay Partner Network Agreement and the eBay Partner Network Terms of Service.
  5. Click "Continue"
  6. eBay Partner Network Sign Up
  7. Fill out your personal information to match your tax information. This is important for receiving payments later.
  8. There are a couple of tricky fields to fill out. Here's what we suggest:
    • Company name: Enter your full name.
    • Business description: Be detailed, and write something along the lines of "Web articles about or reviewing products that may be sold on eBay." Also, include some links to your Hubs that are exemplary pages for displaying eBay products. Also, if your profile name has a space in it (which adds a plus (+) sign to your URL), you will not be able to add your full URL in the Website URL field below, so be sure to paste it into this section so that eBay can view your main profile page.
    • Business type: Select "Individual"
    • Primary business model: Select "Content / Website"
    • Website URL: http://hubpages.com/profile/your_username
To get your Website URL, click the "my profile" tab at the top of this page, and copy the URL from the URL field at the top of your web browser. If your profile name has a space in it, then you will not be able to add it into this field because it has a plus (+) sign that's a placeholder for the space in your profile URL. In this case, just enter in http://hubpages.com for this field and add your full profile URL in the Business Description field above.
  9. Click the "Continue" button to continue.

After a few more self explanatory questions, an email will be sent to you with a link to confirm the domain that you just added in your application. To properly confirm your domain, copy the Unique Identifier that eBay sends you in this email and paste it into the HubPages eBay Domain Confirmation page. After you confirm your domain with HubPages, you then need to go to the eBay Domain Confirmation Page that is linked in this email as well. Once you're there you can paste in your Unique Identifier into the correct field and click the Confirm Domains button. Once the Confirmation Status says 'confirmed' the domain confirmation is complete.

Step 2—Activating Payment
