Signing Up for Kontera


Please note that Kontera has a minimum payout threshold of $100, and therefore may not be appropriate for Hubber's with relatively low traffic numbers.

Step 1- Visit the Kontera signup page.

  • In the field for "Website URL", enter your HubPages profile URL, which you can locate by clicking the "my profile" tab at the top of this page, and copying the URL that is in the navigation field at the top of your browser.

  • However, if your HubPages username contains a space, then you should enter your profile URL with the plus signs removed. "http://hubpages.com/yourusername", and place the URL to your profile page in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
    Website URL: http://hubpages.com/profile/yourusername (no plus signs)
    Comments: http://hubpages.com/profile/your+username
  • For the "Categories" field, select the category you write about most on HubPages.
  • Under "Monthly Page Views" you should select "Under 500,000," unless you know for certain that you are getting more traffic than that.
  • Click "Continue."

Step 2- Log In / Contact details and Service Agreement

  • Fill out your contact details.
  • Click "Continue."
  • Read and initial the license agreement.
  • Click "Continue."

After this, you'll receive an email that reads:

Dear Your Name,
Thank you for applying to become a publisher with Kontera.
We will review your application and respond within five business days.
If you have any questions, please contact us via support@kontera.com.

Step 3- Entering your tracker into HubPages

  1. Note: You will have to wait until your account has been approved by Kontera before beginning this step.
  2. Log in to Kontera, and click on the "ContentLink™ Setup" tab.
  3. Copy the number after "var dc_PublisherID = " on the fifth line of code. This number is highlighted in the image below.

  4. Go to your Affiliate Settings page and paste the number you copied into the field for Kontera.
