One of the things we notice the most as christmas its getting nearer are candy canes. Many years ago it was used simply as decoration for the tree. Now adays as people are becoming more creative we are finding more ways to add that festive touch to a christmas symbol that has been around for centuries.

Below are 10 different uses for candy canes.

Different things you can do with candy canes

1- Candy canes can be used as tasty cocoa stirrers. It adds a hint of peppermint flavor for a more refreshing experience.

2- Candy canes look wonderful with holiday flower arrangements. Place them creatively with ribbons in your centerpieces and Walla a whole new look.

3- Spread some cheer. Place candy canes in a decorative basket add tiny bows to them along with small greeting tags and take a festive trip to your local homeless shelters and other places where there are those less fortunate.

4- For a fabulous décor.Candy canes look pretty when you place them in vases, glass cups or jars. Also, adding a pretty ribbon around the glass for extra pizzazz.

5- With two sided tape you can place a candy cane on a wrapped Christmas gift to give it some decorative flair.

6- Use as garland. Wrap pretty string around each candy cane as you go along before you know it you will have a festive garland.

7- Break the candy cane into small pieces and stick them on picture frames that have a Christmas picture. This is a great way to reflect on past holidays.

8- Dip candy canes in fudge or melted chocolate, just be sure it’s not to hot. Mmmm, delicious!

9- Glue a candy cane to a small velvet bow and use it as a broche. This shows of your holiday spirit when greeting your holiday guest.

10- Add a magnetic strip to a wrapped candy cane and use it as a decorative magnet to hold your cards, calendars, and memos on the refrigerator.

I love candy canes, for all the many things they can be used for. I love your idea of using them in flower arrangements... now, to keep the kids from eating them before the flowers die!
