A Christmas Poem of Gratitude: For My Papa

Source

Your love is written upon my heart.

Your laughter is my hope when all seems dark.

And it is your goodness that moves me when I miss the mark.

Your presence is like a medicine.

Your sacrifice delivers me from sin.

And it is your generosity that empowers me to win.

Everything that is pure and good—it all comes from your hand.

You offer life abundantly—You redeem time lost in the sand.

Invitations, unopened, still remain—scattered throughout the land.

Free will you give because you love –offering opportunities and not demands.

Love and peace, friendship and freedom—these are the benefits of obeying your commands.
