Christmas Gift Ideas For A 13 Year Old Boy

Gift Ideas For 13 Year Old Boys

13 is a fun and interesting age to buy for. But it can also be a huge pain, especially if you have no idea what a 13 boy likes, let alone what is or isn't appropriate for this age.

Plus let's face it a lot of parents and grandparents have no idea what a lot of this stuff that kids are asking for is, Does your eyes glaze over when your kids start talking about the Xbox 360 Kinect or maybe the latest PlayStation game like Call of Duty Black Ops? Or how about when they start talking about the the newest iPod?

If so, then you're in luck because it just so happens that I am the parent of a13 year old boy and the items that you will find on this page are already owned by him or are on his Christmas wish list.

Buy An RC Helicopter

We've owned a few RC Helicopter's over the years and this one is definitely the best. Its very easy to handle and lots of fun to play with. It's also very durable and stable for a helicopter of this type.

* A little tip to prolong the life of the battery is to allow the helicopter to sit for at least 10 minutes before re-charging. This will allow the battery to cool down and will help to prolong the life of your battery.

Metal Detector

Every boy loves to explore, and the idea of finding a treasure while you're doing it only makes it all the better. Which is why this metal detector makes a great gift for teen boys. I bought this very same model for my 13 year old and he absolutely loves it. He hasn't found any major treasures yet, but you never know.

Nerf Dart Guns

Nerf dart guns are a good choice for boys of all ages, and I have been told that you can never have too many dart guns. And judging from the huge arsenal that my kids have, it must be true.

Nerf gun players also require a large amount of darts because the last thing that you want is to run out of ammo in the middle of a battle. So you might want to take this into account when ordering your next Nerf gun.

Rononica Roboni - Gaming Robot

This fun programmable Robot makes a great gift for teens ages 13 and up, not only is it fun it's also educational which above all makes the best kind of toy. It does take a lot of batteries though 12 AA in fact, so you might want to think about using rechargeable batteries or be prepared to spend a fortune in batteries.

Razor Pocket Rocket Miniature Bike

Although it looks small this electric powered little miniature bike is designed for teens ages 13 and up. Bike can carry riders that weigh up to 170 pounds and is good for 30 minutes of riding time before it needs to be recharged.

Great ideas to add to my 2011 Christmas list. I'm leaning towards the remote helicopter.
