Christmas Songs List
This Christmas Songs List is a compilation of songs that I enjoy each Christmas season including the classic Christmas songs we all know such as "White Christmas","Joy To The World", and "Jingle Bells" as well as the song "Christmas Island" sung by Jimmy Buffet.
I have a friend that eagerly awaits for the time each year when the radio stations play Christmas or holiday music. Last year she was just thrilled when one local radio station played only holiday music during what can be arguably one of, if not the, most festive times of year.
The beauty of Christmas Songs is that we share memories with each song. I know I can remember Christmas carolers outside our home one year who brought joy and music to the neighborhood, or the lovey rendering of the song "O Holy Night" sung at church with such heartfelt reverence and emotion that it resulted in tears and applause.
And it is always fun to add each year to our Christmas Song List with new renditions sung by our favorite and new singers. Each year I like to add a new CD to my collection and am most happy to receive these CDs as gifts too.
Enjoy these holiday song suggestions and "the most wonderful time of the year!" and feel welcome to share your favorite songs with below!

Classic Christian Christmas Songs
Many traditional Christmas songs remind us of the true meaning and reason for the Christmas holiday season. The songs in this section of the Christmas Song list include well known hymns, carols and songs.
I remember singing many of these songs on Christmas night when my parents had friends and extended family over and we'd delight in my Mom's friend playing the piano and our singing along around the Christmas tree. I love traditions.

- Joy To The World!

Entertaining and Funny Christmas Songs
A holiday classic for the Funny Christmas Songs is "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer". Now it's not a favorite of mine, but given its popularity and staying power, clearly someone likes it.
There are movies that are memorable and those that well, aren't. One of the most memorable holiday movies my family and I enjoy is Elf starring Will Ferrell as Buddy. The movie is enjoyable, especially the songs performed in the movie by Zooey Deschanel, "Baby It's Cold Outside" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". Each year we have an "Elf Night Dinner" with spaghetti and orange drink and then watch the movie. Did I mention I love traditions!
Jimmy Buffet is among the best entertainers and his Christmas Island CD with its parrothead feel and caribbean beat delights. Songs include "Christmas Island", "Jingle Bells", and "A Sailor's Christmas" delivered with flair and fun. I have found listening to this CD with its references to ocean breezes an entertaining welcoming sound throughout the holidays.
Truly entertaining and inspiring are the Italian artist Andrea Bocelli and the Scottish Susan Boyle. Each of these amazingly talented artists share their musical talents and abilities with us throughout the year and during the holidays.

Instrumental Christmas Music
Favorite Christmas Songs - Instrumental
As I mentioned above, I have a holiday season tradition of getting a new Holiday Music CD. Apparently I am not alone, it seems many of my friends like to add to their collections too this time of year.
Taking a quick look at my collection, I have noticed quite a few instrumental holiday CDs. These four CDs listed are included here since they're definitely among my favorites.
- Jingle Bell Jazz features Jumpin' Jimmy and the Mistletones - Offers easy listening to wonderful festive songs. We've enjoyed listening to this music while cooking, wrapping presents, and during making our annual Christmas crafts!
- Mannheim Steamrollers - I have enjoyed the modern renditions and recordings of Christmas music by this group since my parents introduced me to this group and its distinctive flair and talent.
- Big City Christmas - This CD offers piano versions in a clear, smooth, soothing way. Relaxing to listen to and enjoy all year! (It is playing right now!!)
- Joy To The World by Empire Brass is a classic, traditional Christmas keepsake. It's one of my original Christmas CDs. The music is timeless and the renditions are heart warming and inspiring.
