Comes once a year to bless - Sri.Ganesh.

Badrapada Shukla Chouti is the day which comes once a year as per Hindu calendar the day on which Sri.Ganesh comes every home if his idol is taken and worshiped.To day 01-09-2011 is the day and all over India his idol is taken home and worshiped.His mother Sri Gowri comes the previous day and she is worshiped by all Hindu Lady's.To worship Sri.Gowri if it is a tradition in the lady's or men's family her Idol is required.In case it is not a tradition than a idol in turmeric is made by hand and she is worshiped by the lady or all the lady's of the family.Idols of any size are made and are available every where in any place 3 to 7 days prior to the day of pooja.Mumbai or Bombay is the only place in India which gets viewed over all TV channels from the start to the last day when every idol is taken in huge procession in all streets leading to the Sea at Chowpathi the big beach for immersion.High security and all help will be made by the state Govt on the day of Immersions of all idols by various people and social organization.On all days music and other programmes are made and even prasad is distributed to people who come to pray to Sri.Ganesh.Daily the place where the idol is kept will be decorated with baskets of flowers and small,big and huge lights in various designs and colors flash through out the function.Lot of Fire Crackers go in the air on all days.

Sri.Gowri and Sri Ganesh bless all those who just see him and pray,there is no bar of caste and religion.He waits for 15 days only and than goes under water for one year.The final day is most festive with every one going to the river,lake or sea to be immersed for one year.
