Good suggestions. I totally agree that quality time and homemade gifts are special for parents, either one (I like them too). My husband loves going to his favorite seafood restaurant on special occasions, being allowed to go fishing without any obligations, or hanging out at the beach. Just recognizing and thanking dad is a plus on Father's Day. Following you to read more!

Hello TripleAMom! Parents Love homemade gifts! A few years ago I commissioned an artist friend of mine to make my parents a gift for Mother's Day and Father's Day. He used canvas and a variety of paints and they were very personalized. Personally, I am not very artistic in that sense, but the appreciated that I had the gifts custom made and that I had designed them. My buddy did it real cheap and it took him only a couple days. To this day, they are still hanging side by side on one of the walls in their house!

I am like your husband-I like to go fishing with no reservations and I also like fresh seafood (although I don't know anyone who likes seafood more than my wife!) I hope he enjoys his Father's Day and you can tell him that! I appreciate your comment and follow. Thanks for stopping by!

JS, these are great Father's Day ideas. My kids complain that their dad is so hard to buy for, but I tell them to pay attention to those things he likes doing as you suggested. It works... golf shirts and a Lowes card. LOL He loves them!

@sholland10: Hello sholland10! My dad is the same. He makes pretty decent money and he doesn't need anything big or flashy. This year I got him a $50 gift certificate to Omaha Steaks which will deliver fresh meat cuts right to your door on dry ice. I never know what to get him but he loves to BBQ (already has the grill and all the tools) so I figured I would get him the food! He loved it and gave me a big hug! Most of us men are practical; we just want things we can use and enjoy! Thanks for stopping by and I am happy that your husband had a great Father's Day! I did too! As always, thanks for the votes and share!
