Father's Day Poem - Haiku about Dad
- Daddy's Little Girl - a Father's Day Poem
"Daddy's Little Girl" is a perfect poem for Father's Day. This poem reflects on the author's memories as a little girl, and the changes and growth that occurred after her parents' divorce.
To my dear, sweet Dad
So quiet over the years
Who knew what I've had?
Hesitant as I....
Hard to open with real life
but loves as I do.
Time has given me
Understanding of your heart...
and it is like mine.
April is National Poetry Month
This was #16 for National Poetry Month, published on April 16th in honor of my dad's birthday on that day.
Sometimes it's hard to talk, to express ourselves, but it's good when we know that people love us as much as we love them. My dad and I don't always open up, but I know he's always there for me. This haiku is in honor of my special dad.
