Halloween Cat Costume
Ever since I was a child, my favorite Halloween outfit was always the Halloween cat costume that I picked each year from Woolworth's. I remember getting to the store and racing to the Halloween isle, quickly scanning the selection hanging before me for that plastic kitty cat mask. It was usually a gray tabby cat, and the costume, which really looked nothing like a cat, was made of a very thin, black material. The costume was often ill fitting, and quickly discarded after Halloween, but the cat mask could be played with for months afterward.

Today's costumes are much more sophisticated, and very seldom do you see plastic masks, especially on young children. You're more likely to see a child with a painted on kitty face, ala the Broadway show "Cats." I admit, those old-fashioned masks did make your face hot, but on a cold Halloween night, probably kept me warm as well.
If you're looking for a costume, either for an adult or child, you have the following options when it comes to Halloween cat costumes:
- Hello Kitty
- Cat Woman
- Black Cat
- Cheshire Cat
- Black Panther
- Sexy kitty
- Cat in the Hat
- Black Cat toddler costume
I've included a slide show of some of these costumes above, and I've noted where you can find these costumes, if they're available.
