How to chase away the holiday blues at Xmas time"
I know we all remember the song," What do the lonley do at christams" I think it's a very beautiful song, it only makes you realize that you're a lone and sad for the holidays. This song is a reality for the people that are single, separated or divorced people that have to face on the holidays. lonliness and depression becomes a companion to these people; that no longer have a significant other during the hloidays. The holidays are hard on people that doesn't have a special person in his or her life.
When we're around other couples and married people , it's really hard on us , if we're alone; so here are a few tips to combat and chase awayt he holiday blues.
1.If you have children, grand children, and siblings, invite your self to be a part of the celebration because, they would love to have you there.
2.Do not allow yourself to be alone on the holiday, even if you have to invite someone to be a date for that particular day.
3. If your creative and can make different little trinkets and gifts, you give out on the holiday, so get busy doing it.
4. Nominate your self to cook some special dishes that you can only do, everyone will love that, and you'll be helping your self stay busy as well.
5. If they're going to play music, ask them to let you pick out he music; so you pick out beautiful up beat music that want make you cry.
6.Just for that holiday, start a game where everyone tells of only good blessings that have happen in their lives. and If you do all the above, you want have any time left over to pity your self ; and you would had a very blessed and happy hoilday even though ; you wasn't with the man or women of your dreams.
In any event, I feel if we start counting our blessing, we will soon forget about what we don't have and be vey thankful for the things that God has already given us. I am a big believer in counting my blessings, no matter how small or few they maybe, because if you appreciate the little things in life; God will soon bless you with the bigger things in life.
