How to make a NFL Christmas Tree using the Pittsburgh Steelers as a example.

Hi Gardening Friends

Well if you are a Pittsburgh Steelers football fan here is something that you may want to make for Christmas a Pittsburgh Steeler team Christmas Tree. You can make this tree and when you have your family over or friends in for the holiday season you will be the talk of the town or your local neighborhood. Everyone you know will want to come to your house to see the christmas tree that you have handmade ornaments hanging on the tree. And doing this for yourself and your family and friends to all enjoy at this time of the year.

I think anyone can do this but this is what I did for Christmas. You first decide if you want a real live Christmas Tree or a artificial Christmas Tree. What you need first to do is if you don't have you need to buy 6 strings of yellow or white lights to put on your tree. Then you need to buy material to make the team ornaments. I brought fleece material that had the team name and emblems on the material. And I went and cut out the name and emblems from the fleece material. For everyone emblem that I cut out I make sure that I cut one on the other side.

I cut out two of the same emblems and I take a glue gun and glue them together. Back to back. Next I go and collect pinecones ones that I use is either Norway Spruce or White Pine. I let them lay out and dry. Then I either take yellow or gold paint and either hand paint the pine cones or i spray paint them. I also take black paint and paint about 12 to 20 pinecones each. I also do this with the gold pines cones. I wait until they dry then I take floral wire and wire the pine cones and then I wire them to the tree. You can also get black and gold floral ribbon at you local craft store.and make handmade bows for your favorite football team christmas tree.

Also you can go to your local craft store and get a grape vine star and spray paint it for the top of the tree. If you get a grape vine wreath you can spray paint it black or even spray paint it gold and then you can paint gold glitter on the wreath either over the black paint or over the gold. Either way it will do a great job on the star at the top of the tree. If you are for another Nfl team just use their colors on the star and make your tree out of their team colors. I will in the future tell you how in additional hub how to make a handmade snowman so that you can hang this ornament on the tree.

You can also get gold round ornaments for your Steeler Christmas Tree.

Then just hang them here and there on your tree.

Also I will have more pictures of my 2013 Team Christmas Tree. You will have to wait until I get my Christmas pictures develop.from 2013. So come back and check this hub for more upstates about how to make a Christmas tree. You can also take any other items for the tree that is black and gold. This past year 2013 I used Black and Gold Roses and laid them in the tree. You can use anything you would like that is the color of your team. If you are making a football team Christmas tree then the colors would be black and gold.If you want to make another team christmas tree then find out about what kind of colors that represents the team that you want to make a tree for. When you find out or know the team colors that you want to make a tree for that team then make that tree the colors of the team that you are for or that you really care about.

What ever team you are for and want to make a tree for your team. Just follow on how to make the hand made ornaments. Also you want to use material like I have to make your ornaments you should try to wait until the material goes on sell at the local craft and material store. Sometimes they have it on sell during different times of the year. I have seen the material at the local craft store as high priced at $19.95 a yard and at the big box store I have seen the material priced as low as $9.95 a yard. I have seen sales on material at the local craft and material store at certain times of the year which would be late summer or early fall at $6.99 a yard. I would try to wait to make my christmas tree ornaments for your tree that you are making until the price of the material went down. Why pay more for the material that you need or make your tree for the up and coming holiday season. So make sure you check around the stores that carry material or have a material department to try to get the lowest possible price that you can get for the material that you want to use to make your handmade ornaments.

What kind of tree that you can make to use for the Steeler Christmas Tree.

Artificial evergreen green christmas tree that you can put up to use to decorate as your football team christmas tree. Or you can put up a live christmas tree and decorate it as a football team christmas tree. You can also glitter your real christmas tree because at the end of the christmas season or holiday season you can throw out your live tree and it doesn't matter if you have glitter on the tree or not. Also if you have a white artificial christmas tree you can set it up and use it as a Steeler Christmas Tree or if you have a old white christmas tree you can use it as a steeler christmas tree all I would do is spray paint the tree with gold spray paint and them decorate the tree with you steeler decorations that you have handmade for to decorate your tree. First after you have your artificial or live tree put up you can start to decorate it with the lights that you have to put on the tree either use gold or yellow color lights or you should or can use white or clear lights it depends on what you have or what you want to do? Then after you put up your tree and put the strings of lights on you can start to hang your handmade football team ornaments on the christmas tree.

The team handmade ornaments should be place here and there all over the tree. Then after you do this you should start to place some other handmade items on the tree. You can get and place some handmade steeler snowman on the tree here and there for your family and friends to talk about and make a great discuss about that you did something different and usual in decorating a christmas tree with your favorite football team items which you can save and add to over the years to come.

If you are making a steeler christmas tree you can make it any way you want or any other NFL team. But I would use that team colors.

If you are making a steeler christmas tree you can make it any way you want to. What I have written in this hub is just my ideas on how I have made a steeler christmas tree. You can come up with your own ideas and develop your own design of a steeler christmas tree. So if you want to make a steeler christmas tree using some of my ideas go ahead but try some of your own,

So I hope you enjoyed this hub and remember to come back as soon as possible to see new up states of this Hub.

Happy Holidays Santa Den
