Josselin holds another great festival

As France celebrates Bastille day on the 10th July many towns celebrate by holding a medieval festival, there were two being held last weekend, one at Vannes and the other within the wonderful town of Josselin.

With the back drop of the castle and medieval dwellings its a wonderful place to spend a day soaking up the atmosphere of a time past gone.

Admission was 8 euro for adults, while under 16s got in free and entry was also free for any one in costume.

There was entertainment all day with displays of combat within the castle walls, musicians, jugglers and street entertainers keeping every one happy and amused.

The restaurants were open all day and many had spit roast in operation recreating cuisine from past times.

Josselin is just 25 min away from La Forge and La Veille maison and is always a highly recommended tourist destination all year round.
