Make a Romantic Gift Basket for Valentine's Day

Making a romantic Valentine's Day gift basket is so much fun to assemble and because it's for the love of your life, you know what things you can put in your basket. However, this how-to will help to get you started with some ideas to put in your gift basket. For example, for my guy's Valentine gift basket, I would put a mug, a $10 gift card from his favorite coffee place (Dunkin Donuts), the panda bear plush toy, and the bar set. Now you might want to assemble a different grouping; another example would be a red travel mug, a collection of romantic songs, the chocolate long stemmed roses and perfume. That's what's great about gift baskets, you can tailor it according to what your valentine prefers.

Valentine's Day Mugs and Cup

I think a mug is one of those items that anyone can use. If the apple of your eye loves coffee or tea, these mugs will have them thinking of you every time they use it.

The entwined Golden Hearts Happy Valentine's Day mug is so romantic and holds 11 ounces of liquid, it really helps to start the day off right.

If you prefer a designer look, this Christopher Vine mug with the heart design and "LOVE" letters all around the mug really says what you mean. Made of fine bone china, it stands at 4 1/4" tall x 3 1/4" diamerter and holds 11 ounces of liquid.

Does the love of your life prefer to drink juice to go? The Clear Earth Reusable Cup is perfect for commuting. The heart shape design decorates the white non-slip rubber grip and the cup has double-walled construction to keep drinks cold and hands dry. It holds 16 ounces of liquid and it's BPA-free.

Gotta have a Teddy Bear for Valentine's Day

I like to put stuffed animals in Valentine's Day baskets because everyone likes them, even the guys. They're cute and cuddly and can stand in for you when you're not there with your favorite valentine. Here are two I found on Amazon.

The black and white panda bear looks more masculine so it's great to give to a male valentine. The bear is holding a heart-shaped pillow that says "Love You Beary Much", it is so precious!!!

The red bear with white hearts from Ty is handmade with the finest materials and it's so cuddly.

And Chocolates of Course

Giving chocolates to your Valentine is a given. But you don't want to give just any box of chocolates, here are some chocolate ideas that are more appropriate for the occasion to get you thinking.

The heart-shaped truffle assortment from Olde Naples Chocolate are for the lovers of premium dark chocolate. They are hand-made with orange, raspberry, and chocolate and espresso centers. The designs are so amazing and the taste is even better. The chocolates are wrapped in a red box.

The Pink Sweetheart Chocolate Roses gift set includes two 3-dimensional roses. Each rose contains a 1/2 ounce of creamy chocolate and is set on 9 1/2 inch stems inside an elegant box. Don't hesitate to buy more than one.

The long stem chocolate rose from Olde Naples Chocolate is made fresh with order and wrapped in cellophane and tied with a colorful ribbon. Choose from milk chocolate or dark chocolate. Don't hesitate to buy more than one.

A Picture of Both of You

Surprise your favorite person with a recent picture of both of you; put it in a nice frame and include it in the gift basket. It's a sweet way to remind your Valentine of a great time that you spent together.

Personalized Valentine Gift for Her

Now pick a personal gift for her, but since it is Valentine's Day choose a romantic personal gift like perfume and make sure that it's a perfume that she would like.

You might also consider a heart-shaped locket. This 14-karat gold-filled locket on an 18-inch gold rope chain is a perfect choice because of the crystals forming a heart-shape design. It has a lobster claw clasp.

This beautiful heart bracelet is made from rhodium-plated silver and shimmering cubic zirconia. A sparkling cubic zirconia puffed heart with a filigree back dangles from a toggle clasp. It will become a favorite accessory for her to wear.

Again, these are just three ideas for you to consider putting in your Valentine Gift Basket. If your Valentine wants something like a bathrobe, then that can be the main present.

Personalized Valentine Gift For Him

Get your favorite man his favorite scent. You can either choose after-shave or cologne or eau-de-parfum.

Is the man in your life a football fan? Then he will love this nifty snack helmet of his favorite football team; the top has a removable cover and a deep bowl that you can fill with chips or ice to keep his beer cold. The mouthpiece holds a divided container that can hold nuts or dip.

If your guy likes to play bartender (and what guy doesn't?) then this bar set is a great way to indulge his hobby. Made of high grade stainless steel, this bar set contains one 28 oz. shaker, one 16 oz Shaker (used to cap the 28 oz.), one Red Knob Bar Spoon, one Jigger 1- 1/4 X 3/4, one Corkscrew, six black pour spouts, one 2-Prong Strainer, and one Speed Opener.

Now that you've picked what you want to put inside the gift basket, choose the basket that you want to hold your gift items in.

This stylish rectangular basket is crafted from woven wicker and natural cloth. The dimensions are 14" x 10" x 4 1/4" high.

This beautiful eye-catching baskets are hand-made by villagers in Africa and are approximately 16"-18" in diameter.

Once you have your gifts arranged to your liking, take transparent red cellophane wrapping paper and wrap the gift basket. You can staple the ends, but don't use too much then take a red ribbon and tie a bow and you are done. Your Valentine's Day Gift Basket is ready for giving.

Perhaps you are already married and he has been quite busy working. He might need a vacation or a rest from all that. If time and schedule will not permit this, give him a little care package that will allow him a sanctuary to refresh and revitalize. Put together some candles, aromatherapy oils, and soft music in a basket. This will ensure utmost relaxation that he sorely needs without even realizing it.
