Single mom x-mas blues 5 years ago

Looking for help this x-mas season. since it is getting harder these days to find help when you are low income. Turn away from the Arm full of love again this year. Christmas without gifts under the tree is like never been born on earth. Tying to raise a child alone this days is getting harder. Your money goes to them during the year and the bills. You let yourself go for the sake of your kids.

These are all very good suggestions. Certain churches also have Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner boxes and presents for smaller children. It would be good to direct your readers to contact their churches as well.

I came to this site to seek help for the holidays. I would like to thank those of you for the comments and referral information because without those I would be lost. This year is one that wish never even came. I have 7 god children and a lot of animals that I rescued and do my very best to care for however, I'm only one person along with being on disability and sick most of the time its very hard for me to care for my family, (most people don't understand that when you have godchildren and/or neighborhood children that come to you for help, meals, etc. that it's the same as having your own child). I'm the type of person that will go without for any child, animals, or adult even if they are in need. When I was able to work it wasn't as hard to be here financially and otherwise for them but now just to get by day to day is an obstacle course and a lot of worrying on how to do so. Again thank those of you that listed your suggestions-I'm hoping that my applications will be accepted and I can give my loved ones a halfway decent holiday. GOD BLESS!!! AND HAVE A SAFE HOLIDAY

I know that Christmas time will be very hard from them and making meals is a chore but she does it I would love to help her more but there is only so much money in my budget. if you would like to help please leave me a contact and i can let you know what it is she needs I know she would never except help from anyone that is why I am doing this thank you and god bless.
