Santa Claus in ASCII Text Art

Have you been naughty or nice? What would Santa say?

Here are lots of Santa Claus and Saint Nicholas pictures done in ASCII art. Christmas time seems to have the biggest collection of ASCII art. I think it's because ASCII art is so easy to send in email. Or, it used to be. Now HTML email has messed things up and you need to send the ASCII art in an image file instead of just the plain text copied into an email. You can also send ASCII art in a txt file, attached to an email. But, you must let people know what you are sending in an attached file.

Santa Claus has become a big part of Christmas, very commercialized. Not surprising there are plenty of ASCII art creations of Santa. Some people colour the ASCII art. It takes some extra time and knowledge of HTML codes. Santa does look nice in the traditional red and white rather than the black and white and greyscale in standard ASCII text.

Happy Holidays and enjoy the ASCII Santas!

I do make my own ASCII art but all of these are not my own creations. I put them up here as a gallery to show off the ASCII art. Christmas time seems to be very popular for using ASCII art.

I guess it takes me about an hour to make a smaller ASCII picture. I've never timed it. Coming up with the design can take longer. I often get an idea but then have to change it to suit the ASCII text medium.

Hello That Grrl,

your designs are beautiful and I'd like to know what is your privilege.

I sometimes see my daughter trying to create a few, but she isn't very good. How long you create these drawings?

I'll still many compliments. Voted up!! :)
