Songs for Christmas
Caroling @ Town Square, New York, USA
I used to be a member of our church choir. Although I cannot attend the everyday mass, I always make it a point to be there every Sunday.
Being inspired and praising God’s works for us, I penned this simple song way back 2002 to show that I will not forget who am I and the importance of my existence in this world.
I- When Christmas comes
Many people are rejoicing.
When Christmas comes
We always remember the birth of Jesus
Chorus:
When Christmas comes
People are reminded of
The great sacrifice the Lord
Has made for us to save us from sins
II- When Christmas comes
We never forget the spirit of giving to our neighbors
When Christmas comes
We always believe that Jesus
Will come again to reign forever.
(Repeat Chorus)
Christmas songs evolved from traditional to modern types, nowadays. I still prefer traditional songs like Silent Night, When a Child is Born, to mention a few. The meaning of Christmas is truly appreciated when I hear Christmas songs praising God's promise to us His children to save us from sins.
I will not debate on what day Jesus was born. Christmas is the best thing that happened to mankind. That's the important thing that counts.
Christmas song or hymn is the highest form of prayer. Very emotion we expresses while are singing will be answered by the Lord, without even knowing it. It lifts our spirits high; the magnitude of our problems is temporarily forgotten.
It's praising God to the highest level!
Silent Night
Children like Christmas Caroling, so much!
From Classic, Pop to Rock
The classic Christmas songs, Silent Night and O, Holy Night are the most popular among Christians. There's also the songs, Oh, Come all Ye Faithful and Hark! The Herald Angels Sing that praise the coming of the Saviour of this world, Jesus Christ. We usually forget those who wrote and composed it's hymns and lyrics, but we usually sing it in our hearts, because we believe that it's true. I have lots of selections on my Midi-Karaoke that I can sing this season.
Songs about Christmas events, however funny, serious or melancholic can be traced into the tunes like : Santa Claus Is Coming to Time, I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, I'll Be Home for Christmas, White Christmas, Christmas Song, Blue Christmas and All I Want for Christmas is You.
To lift the spirits of everyone, there's a array of Christmas rock songs you can sing. Jingle Bell Rock, Rockin' around The Christmas Tree, Frosty, The Snowman, Deck The Halls and other popular tunes that are 'earworms' to all.
Massive radio airplays boost the essence of the Advent season. I used to hum or sing the chorus of those popular Christmas songs. The messages never expire. It just go with the air of hope, faith and love as the years pass by.
MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!!!
