To All Fathers

King Dad

She knew her daddy while in her mother's womb.

High was the anticipation while in incubation in mommy's belly.

She couldn't wait to meet him, finally see him, the sound that

was always so near.

It's a girl! the doctor proclaimed,

Daddy cried as he rejoiced cause the baby recognized mommy's touch

but she knew her father's voice.

Daddy picked her up and never put her down, whenever there was a problem he was always around.

He would lift her high over his head and spin her in the sky. She felt as though the

mountain was her floor because by her father she was

He showed her how to be brave, he gave her adventure, told her she was a

treasure, a gift, not another loop in some man's belt

so that shame would not be felt.

Because of his rule and strength she grew strong.

Setbacks, problems, losses of course there were some

but because of daddy's love she would

Then came his son,

A carbon copy of himself.

The son studied his daddy while growing and becoming a man.

He mimicked him, talked and walked like him until one day he was able to

Daddy told him,

Feet apart, shoulders squared, chest out and head up. Life will

come at you hard and throw some heavy blows

Never run and turn away cause the sun always has to shine on a new

Keep Jesus in your view and never rely on you.

In everything seek God's face and let nothing or no one take his place.

So as the adult children of daddy came into there own and raised families

They reminisced.

They thought about their father and how he loved them and all of the childhood

They saw daddy playing with them in the yard, wetting them with the water hose,

being tucked into bed and having their faces wiped if they had a runny

Showing up for games, keeping his word, bonding and them feeling free.

Sitting around his chair as life lessons were being taught safely at his

Daddies are the head of their families which means they always go

Setting examples, always staying for better or for worse.

Never being torn apart, continually after God's own heart.

So while we have our heavenly father the giver of life,

our redeemer who is over us all and everything we ever had.

He set up something wonderful on this earth for us and we call him

Happy father's day daddies whether you have biological children or standing in the gap in some way for someone fatherless. God bless you, heroes of the earth!

Beautiful. As a father myself I pray that I can live up to the standards of the One in this Hub. I know that I have the perfect example to follow because of our Heavenly Father. Thanks for this. It was amazing
