Are You A Card Maker?

I don't know about you and your family, but we love to create Valentine's Cards every year! This is allot of fun, and if you have younger kids or teens, they love to make cards too. What fun it is to spend time together, designing cards.

If you haven't done it yet, I challenge you to block out some time. Set a card-making date anytime now till Valentine's Day.

These cards are very simple, you can cut out hearts together, or ahead of time. Preferably get your cut outs done before your scheduled date. Anyone at home can help! If you have some punches from scrap-booking, that form hearts, flowers, bows, even snowflakes, these are fun too! We are still in the winter season, and the snowflakes look great as an accent with your hearts.

Make sure you schedule this a couple weeks ahead of Valentine's Day. You might find that making these cards and getting them done ahead of time...will inspire you to make some Valentine Cookies and Candies:) Put these together with your cards, plan a time to hand out your own candy or cookie grams for Valentine's. People will love it, and love you! If they aren't expecting anything special that day, you will make their day, and what fun for you!

There are some little decorative baggies with hearts on them you can buy for Valentine's. The dollar store usually has some nice one's, and you can't beat the price! If you are really feeling creative and have the time, buy a package of white paper bags. Decorate until you heart is content:)

So for embellishments, you can use foam stickers, stickers, paper cut-outs, bows, flowers, and even cut out of those advertisements...pictured boxed candies. Even on a card, women and men love candy, flowers, hearts and bows. Now don't forget the most important thing? A handwritten note from no one other than yourself. This will tie everything together.

If you are not into card making, cookie making, candy making, maybe you would be into cake baking? We had a cake baking, fund raiser auction one year, at a Valentine's Banquet. It was a blast, the ladies loved making the cakes, and the auction was a big success. I put these pictures on here, of those cakes, the ladies baked:)  Another thought in your Valentine's event calendar, could be a  cake walk!  It doesn't have to be about money, just lovin fun:)

Well, if you had, not planned on much before Valentine's, now is the time, to think about love:) You can make a list of those you would like to give Valentine's Cards, and or goodies to.

If you aren't crafty or don't have the time...you could find someone else who is good at this! Commission them to make you some cards, and goodies for someone special!

Pass a little love along!
