I used to get upset, thinking it was such a greedy attempt by stores to get as much business as possible from a 'religeous holiday'. Christmas is no longer (according to many, many people) about the birth of Christ. It is more about presents, decorations, what to do, where to go, do I have to go home, what will I get from _____?, etc., etc. So, because I can't fight the Xmas shopping, all the marketing activities, and Santa Claus (started by Coke, by the way), I no longer sweat it. I just get shopping out of the way and enjoy the way I celebrate the hol(y)day.
