How are you going to Celebrate "Dr Who Day"?

According to my G+ account, Dr. Who Day is on Friday, November 23.   I don't think it's an official holiday, yet.

I will celebrate the day by giving one sincere, whispered expression to the question: "Dr. Who?" and that will be that, if I even think to do that.

The only appropriate thing to do would be to spend the day inside a phone booth making WHOOM WHOOM noises while wearing an ugly striped scarf and a pinstriped suit with a flower.

Finding the phone booth might be a little tricky in this day and age, but well worth the effort.

Growing up here in the Texas, it took me a little while to figure out what the TARDIS was supposed to be disguised as.   The confusion was understandable, the only blue boxes we had were the porta-potties found on construction sites.

Will have to mark it on my calendar!  My Tom Baker scarf will work nicely by the time November rolls around.

I like Tom Baker's version of the Doctor.  It's my favorite Doctor.

After I read this, I google'd it as well, and it is the correct date. It is official because on November 23, 1963, the first Dr. Who episode aired on BBC. The episode was "An Unearthly Child."

I cannot stop laughing because that is my birthday and I am named after an early Dr. Who companion. I'll have to celebrate my birthday extra special this year. :-D

Has to be a Dr Who Marathon, dressed in an awesome stripy scarf :-)
We have a massive collection of Who stuff, as well as a semi-repaired mark 2 dalek, and a half built mark 1 dalek in our garage. My hubby is one of the biggest fans ever, but I love it too! I'm intending to paint up our garage door from the garden into a TARDIS door.

    btw Leela, awesome name :-)

When your daleks and the TARDIS door are done, can we see pictures? That sounds amazing! (Thanks for the compliment & the follow, by the way) :-D
