When you are young the best part of celebrating Halloween is going out for trick-or-treating. As I got older and approaching adulthood, going to your typical teenage-style Halloween parties were a favorite with all your friends there having a good scary time. Adult or work related Halloween parties that came later on were also some of the best times memory serve me complete with good music, food, candles, mask, costumes, contest, monster makeup, and friends. This really depends on where you are in your life. Now as you get older, no longer single, but married with say a large family, the focus is more about home and celebrating Halloween as a family get-together with scary movies and popcorn. I say, do both. Celebrate with family doing games and treats, and once in a while trick-or-treating, and enjoy the fun of Halloween by spending it with family and friends doing something festive the reflects the season at hand.
