   What is your favorite Halloween Tradition?
   
   Trick or treating with the kids, decorating, scary stories, hayrides? What would your favorite Halloween tradition be?

   Carving pumpkins! Every weekend before halloween we cut them all open, clean them, and carve them. After I make different flavors of pumpkin seeds for each one of us.

   Building Haunted Houses is my all time favorite of all holiday activities even more than cooking Thanksgiving feasts.
   My only real regret in living as an expat is that these aren't done in most other countries.

   Decorating! Especially making the Halloween crafts to put up. We did that every year when I was growing up. On first day of October all the other decorations were brought in from storage, and we made a big party of hanging them. We added at least one new hand-made item a day until the day before Halloween. That day and Halloween we spend our time cooking treats and perfecting our costumes. It was the best of times!

   All of these sound awesome! We love doing handmade stuff also, I am going to post a pic of what I made this year because I am so pleased with it.  We live in an old Victorian era farmhouse and so I did a Victorian themed set of Halloween blocks by creating graphics with vintage postcards and digital scrapbook paper, high res prints, a bit of decoupage and woohoo!  I loved it so much I'm doing plates next
