Some parents I know say that they don't let their children eat any of their Halloween candy from trick or treating. They do not want their kids eating all that sugar, but they still allow their children the chance to dress up and trick or treat. Instead of letting the kids have the candy, these parents either throw it away, or bring the candy into their workplace for co-workers to snack on. I'm a bit ticked off about this - candy is expensive and I had not idea it was just being thrown away. Is this common with parents of young children now?
