Updated 2011 - Where can I mail or drop off a letter to Santa Claus?

Santa has an official address

Every year thousands of children write their letters to Santa Claus. Some put them beside the tree with milk and cookies and others put them in the mail. This year Macy's is the place to drop off those letters and support a worthy cause.

And if you want your child to receive a letter back from "Santa", they can do so with a little help from you. Just follow the instructions below.

The United States Post Office will help you with your letter to Santa. Here is how you can do it:

Drop your letters to Santa at Macy's.

This year Macy's is supporting the "Make a Wish Foundation" by collecting letters from Santa. Go to any Macy's across the country and drop off your letter to Santa in the official Santa mail box.

This is a great idea. Sigh. Remember what it was like to believe in Santa Claus? O innocence!

Hey, that's good info. I still believe in Santa Claus and I always check for reindeer poop on Christmas morning to see if he really did make it to my house or not.

Did you know that near Disney World there is a city by the name of Christmas, Florida?

Thanks for the information, bayareagreatthing. It is good to know that there are still places doing the Santa Claus letter thing. I worked for the USPS years ago and every November and December we processed literally thousands of letters to Santa, which at that time were gathered at the GMF and answered by local senior citizen groups. I don't supposed they do that anymore, though I am not really sure. Nice to know that Macy's is. Voted up, useful and interesting!
