I don't know if Mothers day is officially celebrated around the world but I think it's interesting how each region of the states celebrates.
In the south and warmer weather areas, barbeques are normal.
When I lived in the northeast, formal dinners were expected.
How do you celebrate Moms special day?

I'm totally happy if I just get to see and hug my sons.    Usually,  they get me gifts and visit with me.   This year I'm invited to a cookout or dinner (whichever the weather allows) along with the in-laws and other family;  looking forward to it.

Happy Mother's Day to any Moms here!!  smile

Honestly, i got to know of this some few hours ago when i went to a supermarket and where i saw a flyer bearing 'happy mothers day! 5% discount on every items purchased'. I quickly picked some items hoping that 5% would be deducted, however, it wasn't. Then i challenged them but i was told 'sorry this offer is for mothers and not fathers'.
