Silent Night is a great choice! Whether in German or English it is one of my favorites. Albert introduced it into England together with what we now know as the traditional Christmas tree with the lights and the presents underneath. Merry Christmas!
I used to absolutely be irked by this one, but now it may be my favorite: Have yourself a merry little Christmas. (I still wish they didn't have the word, "little", in there. That still irks me, but the rest of the song/melody is nice.)
I love them all. Christmas songs are one of the best parts of Christmas! If I had to go with one, I'd pick Silent Night, but I love all the classics, and the new ones too. Man, I can't wait to eat some turkey, and then start the Christmas season!
I am a singer so to me they are all beautiful. If I had to pick a favourite, it would be very hard but I would have to go with "OH Holy Night or "Marys Boy Child", those two are hard to separate, sorry. I just love them all really!!! FROM BEAUTYBABE
I love "Joy to the World", "Silent Night," and so many others, but the words to "Good King Wenceslas" seem to embody the true meaning of Christmas: "Therefore, Christian men, be sure Wealth or rank possessing Ye who now will bless the poor Shall yourselves find blessing"
