All Hallows Eve 2

 As the wind blows colder

the veil thins between this world and that

a full moon watching as shadows float by

touching and hearing with an acute awareness

the witching hour strikes

and your senses come alive

standing under the trees looking up at that moon

you know you aren't alone

'no, you never will be', the voice answers back

you feel the brush of icy cold on your cheek

in the stillness of the night

and the hood of your cloak falls back

to know, to dare and be silent

so goes the threefold words of wisdom

delight in the fire, grounded in earth

when autumn's wind blows in, and the chilly rains fall

welcome the ancient ones, light a candle for the newly fallen

it's their time to roam the earth once more

until we all come to dance on all hallow's eve.
