Research At Your Fingertips

The days of schlepping to the library are over thanks to the convenience of the World Wide Web, Google and the many choices we have right at our fingertips.  If we are fortunate enough to have a pc in our homes, or our workplace we can GOOGLE SEARCH and SURF without ever leaving the room!  Fantastic!

Can you even imagine not having Internet access?  What?  Who said that?

We wake up, log on and get busy.  We are no longer the Flinstones, and rapidly approaching the Jetsons.  Thanks to Bill Gates, and the many other brilliant individuals who have made our lives easier we can now have access to the entire world if we choose to.  We thought Radio and TV were intelligent information blasters along with entertaining venues,  but Computers can take you anywhere you want to go.  Even the moon is available to see.  How amazing they are.  Type in Google and start searching for whatever it is you need or want to research and there it is!  PFM!

I can even listen to music on mine, make music with it, watch a video, make a video, print photos, or publish my thoughts for the whole world to read!  Yes, the computer is the perfect little machine we've come to rely on.  I think we've gotten to the point that like everything else that's been around for a while we tend to take for granted.  This year my New Year's resolution should have been to focus more on the everyday stuff that I don't appreciate like I would if it had just come into my life.  I plan on making a conscious effort to remember to stop and smell the roses more often and keep my HUBTIVITY very Active!  I'm in need of a new camera and as soon as I get one I'll be putting up more photos with my HUBS.  I could use a new computer as well.  I'm considering a Mac, but I'm not sure which one really suits my needs.  I do mostly creative work and research depending on the company I'm working with.  If anyone has a suggestion please let me know.

I have studied Illustration and Photography but have not learned Photoshop or other programs I would need to know for Graphics positions.  I'm contemplating heading back to school.  Perhaps an online course would be the way to go.
