Grace is not candy

We all hold grace in the palm of our hands. We tend to think that just because we posses grace means we get to determine how to use it. As if we are standing in our yard, saying to our son if you pick up all the sticks out here I will give you this snickers bar. We treat grace in this same manner, I will extend you grace if you follow what I believe, I will give you grace if you do what I do. This is not grace. Jesus never said give grace on your own accord, but to give grace regardless of your desires and thoughts. We should be extending grace, even when it is outside of our own comfort zones. Realizing that this whole grace thing is not about us, none of it is about us. Jesus teaches us not to love because, but to just love. To love with a gigantic period at the end. If our posture become that of loving people and as indivdiuals who delight in extending grace, we would began to see people in the truth and hope of what they could become.
