If you were ever curious about how to make your own wine, well these great tips are perfect for just about any occasion to enjoy.

Tip 1. First you have to find wine equipment to make it happen. Here is a list of things you need to buy.

Carboy- this is where the fermentation takes place. It is best to buy two that way your process is must smoother. Plastic jugs are okay, but it will hold the flavor. Not so good on your next batch. So I would prefer you use glass. The sizes vary. (5 gallons or 6 will do).

Hydrometer- this will tell you the amount of alcohol in you wine. It shows the specific gravity. Normally about 1,000.

Corker- well you need this in order to pull out corks for your wine.

Thermometer- this basically tells the temperature to let you know that the wine process is being done correctly.

Now let’s move on to the basic raw materials!

You can buy a regular wine kit or use grapes from your local fruit market. There are so many kits out there it’s up to you.

Also you are going to need corks, bottles, and oak powder. The oak powder helps you get the taste of aged oak. Because you probably do not have an oak barrel lying around.

More tools to have around:

Bottlebrush, You need to be clean your materials very well. This will stop mold from occurring.

Bisoan- or a regular cleansing material to scrub everything with. Or bleach will be fine.

Siphon- basically a long thing tube to transfer you wine from one bottle to the next.

Connectors- these connect on the neck of the bottle to hold the siphon in place.

Clamps- it helps to start and stop the wine flow when transferring your wine.

Okay ready for your fist bottle of Chianti? Let’s get started.

Step 1. Every should be sterilized. Very important.

Step 2. Let air dry for about 5 minutes.

Step 3. Next use your wine Chianti wine kit for the concentration. Pour into bottle.

Step 4. Use hot water pour into the bag to get the rest of the concentration out.

Step 5. Fill the container with water, but make sure you leave space for fermentation.

Step 6. Stir together very well; make sure you use a sterilized piece.

Step 7. Measure the specific gravity with your Hydrometer.

Step 8. Measure the temperature the next new days. Starting fermentation should be about 70-80 F.

Step 9. Final day on step 1, add yeast cap with an airlock and let wine vacation somewhere warm.
