Beautiful home for krishna

Bangalore is the famous 'silicon city of India'. The old , historic capital is now famous for so many things. It is an interesting place which tourists should not miss in India.Since past 30 years, a new attraction is added to Bangalore beauty. That is,ISKON society has established a very fine temple for Lord Krishna, in Bangalore.

The temple has been established on a small mud hill, about 200 feet in height. All the natural contours of the land -its, ups and downs, rocks, etc, are retained. Temple has typical south Indian style 'gopurams' on four sides.

It is a concrete temple. Very well maintained- astonihingly clean and sublime. AT night and during festivals, it looks exquisitely beautiful.

Here are some photographs of the temple taken by Mr. M Jinaraja Hegde, a well known photographer from karnataka.

These photos are beautiful. My best friend of 20 years is a native of Bombay, and our families will be traveling to India next summer. We were already planning to spend time in Bangalore. Now, I think I may want to double our stay!!! Thanks so much, prasadjain. I love the hub. These photos will be my screen savers until I go.

I visited the temple last week for the first time in my life from Chennai. I felt like having darshan of Balji at Tirupati Temple when I saw Lord Venkateswara shrine at ISCON. Excellent. The slogan, "Hare Rama ..............Hare Hare" is still ringing in my mind.

Indian culture is very familiar to Us, Indonesian. Lathough the majority are Muslims the story of Mahabarata and Ramayana are very popular. Over the centuries our writers have added soem details to the story so now they dufferent from yours. Krisna or Kresno in Javanese language is also known and respected.

The beautiful and a significant divine was really reserved by Krishna as a unused and rocky piece of waste land in Bengaluru. Thanks to the person who could identify the Holy Place for constructing the ISKON Temple.
