Pacquiao wins 7th title in 7 weight classes, but more importantly gains the nod of best pound for pound fighter in the world.

I admit it, I was wrong about "Pacman". I new he started quickly, with fists of furry, but I didnt believe he could keep it up for 12 rounds. Not only did he keep his relentless pace, it looked as though his punches were more powerful in the later rounds. The heart of Cotto couldnt handle the punches from every angle that he had to deal with Saturday night. These fights are why boxing still is around. MMA has became the food of choice in this world, but nothing compares to two warriors battling toe-toe in the middle of the ring for 12 rounds. There is no takedowns, no kicks, no chokes, just two men standing there delivering bonecrushing punches to eachother. If boxing could deliver these types of fights every month instead of every two years, than it would still have its fan base. Of course money, greedy promoters, and all of the bogus organizations with there fake paper champions have taken away the luster of this once proud sport. Jack Dempsey, Rocky Marciano, and Sugar Ray Robinson are turning in their graves witnessing what boxing has turned into. I just hope that what took place this weekend in Las Vegas will help make the promoters and organizations realize we need big tyme fights and one true unified champion in every weight class if boxing is to be ressurected. Speaking of a quick way to ressurect the image and glamour of boxing one name comes to mind, the self proclaimed King, Floyd Mayweather. If he isnt all talk then he will get a deal done this week for the fight of the ages against Pacquiao. I really believe Mayweather thinks its a slap in his face that he isnt considered the pound for pound king, but Pacquiao has delivered mega fights and hasnt shied away from the top guy by consistently retiring after every big fight, like "Money" Mayweather has been doing for the last 5 years. I truly believe this is a fight that will supplant one of these warriors into the top 3 best fighters of all-time.

By the way everyone should give some respect out to Cotto, a guy who earned $7 million for this fight, he easily could have thrown the towel in around the 7th round, way to go. He gave the fans what they paid to see, a fight. No Ricky Hattons here, or Oscar de la Hoya's, He showed why he has the biggest heart in the business.
