Swine Flu: A potential threat or a mere drama?

Swine Flu has seep into at least four continents; Asia, Europe, North and South America. The WHO has raised the alert level to the second-highest level. But is it really a deadly potential pandemic? Or a mere hype created by media? This is a question raised by people living in the Swine Flu-hit countries. There has just been one reported death of Swine Flu in United States, namely a toddler in Texas. Therefore, it seems that the virus was just fatal in the country of its origin, that is, Mexico, and even though there have been several cases outside of Mexico, there have few deaths.

Media might have played a pivotal role in raising awareness about the flu; but it has also exaggerated the spread and repercussions of Swine Flu, therefore causing panic among viewers.

The vaccination of the flu has finally been made; however, it will not be available in the markets for at least four to six months. The virus is usually spread from pigs to humans and humans to humans. The swine flu is mostly spreading through swine-flu hit travelers who are not taking precautionary measures like wearing masks and gloves; to avoid the spread of the flu.
