The Secret of My Manifestations, Getting What You Want
68A Note From The Author
I am writing this article with the assumption that you have already been introduced to the law of attraction or the secret of manifesting your desires. This hub is not here to sell you these ideas but rather to expand on them. If you have not been introduced to these ideas yet, may I suggest some initial reading. Along my path of discovery, I especially enjoyed and learned a lot from: Joe Vitale, The Attractor Factor; Neale Donald Walsch, Conversations with God; Esther and Jerry Hicks, Ask And It Is Given; Mike Dooley, Infinite Possibilities and anything by Wayne Dyer.
As I write I will use the term God, Universe, Source Energy and others. It doesn’t matter what we call “All That Is.” If one of these labels feels better to you, use that. Whatever name you give it, just know that you come from something bigger than yourself. Something incomprehensible to us on this plane. Something that has unfathomable love for us. Something that has given us the law of attraction.
Itroduction
Someone has told you the big “Secret.” O.K. once you get past the initial shock, the idea that we create our own lives is pretty exciting. Here you thought you were a victim of circumstance and now you find out you are the author of your circumstances. Pretty heady stuff. This article assumes you’ve already been introduced to the law of attraction and now you want to use it to your advantage. The premise is simple enough: think about it, and it will manifest. Those are the house rules. There are however a few tricks to make the cards fall in your favor quicker. I’ve also developed a few techniques to make the game a bit more fun. This is the first article in a series that will lay them out for you.
Wanting
The very first thing you have to have is a want. Sounds simple enough. Why is it then it takes us so long to decide where to go for lunch? “I don’t know, where do you want to eat?” The world is full of choices and opportunities. Once you learn you can have anything, it can be overwhelming. Your homework from now on is to collect data through your day of things you want. Take note of the things that bring you joy.
Beautiful flowers, attract those to you.
Happy People, attract those to you.
A feeling of excitement, attract that.
Fresh fish? Yep, whatever you want.
Pick something for this exercise. Get a clear picture or feeling of what you desire. Hold it in your mind for a minute. What would it smell like, taste and feel like? What emotions would you feel if you had it. Try to make your visualization as rich as possible. Think of this process as placing an order in a restaurant and you will be much more clear about what you want. You wouldn’t just say to your waiter, “anything of the food variety would be good.” Up until now that is basically what you’ve been doing. With thoughts drifting from this to that never settling anywhere for very long. That is what the Source will serve you, a little of this some of that. Some good. Some bad. To take control step one, you must choose. “I’ll have a Sandwich.” That is a decent start, but one of the tricks is too make it rich. Hone this want down until no one could be confused about your desire:
A Detailed Visualization
“I’ll have the rueben sandwich. Rye bread grilled, juicy corned beef, tangy swiss cheese and enough sauerkraut to make my mouth pucker. I want it to be delicious and large enough to hold me all day. I want that warm contented feeling I get after a good meal.”
Can you see how the waiter wouldn’t dream of bringing you peanut butter and jelly now. You had a clear want, full of specific details, involving your emotions and senses. You held your vision long enough for the Universe to get a lock on it. Now you just need to tuck in that napkin and get ready to chow down! Apply this same detailed visualizing to everthing you want.

Spiritual Being, I find it helps to be surrounded by people that are on a similar path. We can all remind each other to be positive and keep our boats headed down stream. I'm glad you are enjoying your journey!
Hi Patricia Costanzo: I am familiar with this theory but have never put it into practice. Maybe now, I'll be able to. Thanks for a great, inspirational piece!
So, Christoph Reilly what will you try to attract? The world is your oyster.
