is already the # 1 ranking player in the chess world. The official FIDE
rankings are updated four times a year only, but that page has a better
approximation as each tournament is held. Following recent results, and
while topping the list are all very close to each other (Carlsen,
Anand, Morozevich, Topalov and Ivanchuk) were the young Norwegian has
the advantage.
It is the world's youngest player to reach
number one, earlier even than Bobby Fischer recalled. Perhaps that is
why some dub him the new Bobby Fischer, the Mozart of chess or even
'the child supercomputer.
