James Bond is the fictional character of Ian Fleming.  Ian Fleming first created the character James Bond in 1953.  Fleming went on to create twelve novels and two additional short stories, which were later created into films. In 1964, Kinglsey Amis picked up the James Bond series after the death of Ian Fleming.

James Bond as a character is a wealthy Englishmen working in the Secret Intelligence Service for Britain.  Do you know where the name "James Bond" came from?  James Bond was named after a Jamaican bird.  Ian Fleming was a dedicated birdwatcher.
