1. Don't overlook your current business bank. Obtaining your business credit card from the same bank where you have your business account can sometimes help you in getting a quicker approval. If you have credit problems you maybe able to talk to your bank and have them base part of their decision on how you have maintained your current business account. Your current bank may also be more open to accepting additional security in order to open the credit account for you. If you're current bank has great services, then it's definitely worth the dealing with them.

2. How many business credit cards do you really need? One business credit card should be sufficient. Don't try to get a lot of different cards all at one time. It could cause an accounting nightmare, or worse you could forget to pay one and damage your business credit.

3. Don't use your personal credit card for business expenses. Once you already have your business credit card, make sure that all business purchases are done using your business card, not your personal one.
