Chris are the Dutch coffee shops friendly to Americans? Or would I feel more comfortable at some more than others? In your opinion where would you head first? Thanks in adavnce!
Thank you...Joseph...I would say overall the the Dutch and/or Coffeeshops are NICE to ALL and Americans, YES...As with anything, some places cater to customers more...If I had to choose the first Coffeeshop and being it is close to Central Station, the train station where you get into Amsterdam, I would go with Barney's...Central Coffeeshop is technically the closest coffeshop, across the street from Central station and I am impatient after a long 7-10 hour flight, I go there...BUT my first Coffeeshop I ever entered was Pablow Picasso, which is on the same street as Barney's and GreenHouse and is a GREAT local DUTCH shop...Barney's is open early and they have a breakfast bar/restaurant... Central opens early too and so does Pablow Picasso...
I would recommend Rookies if it's still there. I went a couple of years ago. It seemed a good place for noobs and I think is run by Americans but I'm not sure.
Nice hub!
Rookies is a good place too...Def good for "noobs" as you say...Nice atmosphere, laid back, and it does have a couple Americans floating around! Thanks for the comments!
