Put the gym membership money back into your pocket!

Somewhere along the way we have forgotten about those original health and fitness formulas that afforded our ancestors to live to be 90 and 100 years old. Below are 10 suggestions to enhance your health and nutrition and also give you back the time that you spend in the gym in stead of with your family

Drink plenty of water

The purpose of drinking water is to flush the system constantly after all, the body is primarily composed of water. Two thirds of the earth is covered in water so the same can be roughly expected from the human anatomy. To make sure you’re drinking the adequate amount of water, you can take your weight (lets say, for example - 160 pounds) and divide it in half (which would be 80 pounds) and change the “pounds” to “ounces” (therefore 80 ounces instead of 80 pounds), and then you’ll be drinking half of your body size in water (mathematically speaking).

Eat little meals more often throughout the day

The object here is to give the digestive system a chance to function at its optimum efficiency. By eating fewer and heavier meals it makes it much more difficult. Your body can certainly strip the fat much easier this way! This also gives you an opportunity to eat those fruits and vegetables for snacks instead of potato chips and snicker candy bars.

Swim

Hands down the best exercise to lose weight in the history of mankind! Swimming makes you use every part of your body and is a unbelievable cardio workout. This exercise trims fat, breaks down fat, targets triceps, strengthens leg muscles, rips up your stomach, back and much more. I can promise you that every single part of your body will feel fatigued after you finish swimming. It is highly likely that you will want to sleep also.

Abdominal Crunches after you wake up and before you sleep

If you want to break down your stomach fat this exercise will be key in assisting you in the fat journey. Roll out of bed and do 15 to 20 crunches before you start your day and do the same 15 to 20 reps either before you take your nightly bath or before you go to sleep. I promise you this takes literally one minute of your day! It is important to remember that the amount of work you put in is the amount of success you will get out of it. I just like to put all of the exercises at the absolute least amount of reps so that you understand that anyone at any age can do these.

Body Bridges

This exercise targets all parts of your core muscle group (center). There are three ways to do body bridges, the first is targeting your abs. Start in a pushup up position and place both forearms to the floor (with fists balled up) and hold for fifteen seconds. Second is targeting your obliques. Here you will start by laying on left side of your body and raise up on your side until all your weight is being held up by your left forearm. Hold for fifteen seconds then switch sides and do it with your right forearm.

Finally we have, targeting your lower back. Start by laying on your back with both arms by your side with palms faced down. Next, bend knees until both feet are flat on the ground. From here all you will do is raise up with all the pressure of your body being on your elbows and back of your arms. The goal is to push your hips to the ceiling and hold for a 30 second count. Naturally the amount of time will vary between individuals but everyone can at least start at 10 second holds.

This is awesome; I will definitely use the crunches before I bed and after I wake. Thanks for the tip. Is that you in the pic...
