 1.  Palin was the first woman to run on the Republican ticket (and second woman ever to run for level of office, the first was Geraldine Ferrar in 1984).

2. Palin was the first female governor of Alaska.

3.  Palin was the youngest governor of Alaska.

4.  Palin was co-captain of the Wasilia High School Basketball team in the 1982 State Championship.

5. Palin won the Miss Wasilla pageant in 1984, and competed and placed third in the Miss Alaska pageant.

6.  Palin has a degree in Communications.

7.  Palin and her husband, Todd, eloped in 1988.

8.  Palin was a sportscaster for a local television broadcasting station in Anchorage, Alaska.

9.  When asked about her foreign policy experience, she stated her trip to Iraq to visit soldiers there as her area of expertise, when in face, she had never visit Iraz up to that point.

10.  Palin terminated to city officials with the city of Wasilla for their lack of support of her governing of the city.

She is certainly a media star, the very same thing she accused Obama of being, and she will never get my vote because of her extreme views on so many matters. After her talk in Hong Kong she will have consorted with known Communists. I suppose that rules her out in 2012. I am also not at all impressed with her ability to finish most anything she starts.

When she resigned as governor of Alaska I was stunned. I do not know how well she did in that post but to give up shows a lack of character, in my view. Would she have resigned as VP if the going got tough?

On the other hand, if I was stranded in the Alaskan wilderness and needed someone to shoot a moose for dinner, I'd ask Sarah Palin. However, I'd keep a close watch on the cartidges so she wouldn't end up shooting me if there were no moose to be found.
