- When you don't like your neighbors, you can move! This is probably one of the some heard of loves with living aboard a boat. You are never stuck some place you don't like.

- Cheaper options for living. Granted, living in a marina can be comparable to having an apartment. However, living on a boat can provide much less expensive options: mooring or anchoring out.

- Driving barefoot! I admit it! I am a barefoot kind of gal. When playing taxi the landlubber was, you are required to wear shoes (to drive a car). When I play taxi while anchored out, my commute in a dinghy. I am able to operate a small powerboat barefoot!

- I own my own home. I am able to decorate and take care of my own "home" without hoving to worry about a "landlord"

- I move without moving! When it's time to go to a new place, I don't have to worry about packing boxes or the like. I move my whole home.
