Why you are the one for me
1. Your sense of humor – When things go wrong as they often do, sometimes all one can do is laugh. I love the way you find humor in all situations, and you make me see the funny side of everything. I love watching you tell jokes around the fire, and feel proud when others find you as funny as I do. When I’m down, I know that I can rely on you to lift me up.
2. Your smile-That wry smile that’s almost a smile but not quite there, makes my knees go weak and my heart melt. It also gets me all hot and makes my ovaries jump up and down like ping pong balls. When I see you across the room, and you catch my eye and give that smile, I almost faint with desire, and can have you right there, in front of all the people in that crowded room.
3. Your macho-ness-The way you just seem so manly and don’t have a wimpy bone in your body. You’ll take out the spider dangling on its fine silk thread before me, drive the 4x4 so that it seems as if it’s a part of your body, swing that axe as you chop the wood. Oh God, I get hot and bothered just thinking about it. In a room full of men you stand out and make the others look like the pathetic creatures they are.
4. Your strong body-Broad shoulders and a good height. Strong face and chin. Definitely not a chinless wonder. A bit of meat on the bones is okay, even a slight paunch, but man, biceps really do it for me. And strong muscular legs, and a sexy bum. Just the thought makes me begin to salivate. You are physically strong as well, which surprisingly, I find a turn on. Nothing worse than a man who can’t pick up a 50kg bag of chicken feed with ease.
5. Your compassion-You have a heart for the poor, weak and helpless. Sad movies bring a tear to your eye. It’s great to watch you with kids, man, you know how to get into their hearts as well. You are always willing to help others, and watching you do it, makes me so proud to be a part of your life.
6. Your passion-You are passionate about everything you do, and your passion is contagious. I can sit for hours and watch your face, as it lights up when you talk about things that really move you, that make you so full of passion. Then of course, there is the sex. Unbelievable passionate sex, spontaneous, the two of us coupling like some crazed animals, and the romantic sex, slow, igniting fires, flames of passion which build up slowly, lick you and devour you until you lose control, lost in the waves of pleasure.
7. Your intelligence-I have to admit, I get irritated by stupid people, even though I am pretty stupid myself. The intelligence just emanates out of your every pore, from a touch, a look, a witty comment. People look up to you and ask your advice, knowing that if anybody can give an intelligent well-thought out answer, it would be you.
8. Your ability to take risks-There is nothing that turns me off more, than someone who is too afraid to leave their comfort zone. Someone, too scared to take that step onto the wild side. But you, you have no fear. Adventure runs through your blood as it does mine, always ready to try something new, take a risk, a chance. Together we travel to far away places and speculate what happened to the civilisation that once lived in Ankor Wat and its environs. We head off to the middle of nowhere, anxious to explore, not afraid to rough it along our journey.
9. Your ability to talk about a range of subjects-Boredom is my worst enemy, but with you around, I can never be bored. From politics to music, art to tribal cultures, endangered species to murder mysteries, together we can talk about so many things. And you can cook up a storm as well.
10. Your ability to make me feel special, wanted, needed. You accept me as I am, compliment me on my talents, ask me for help when you need it, support me in all I do as I support you. You make me feel good about myself, as if I really have something going. You enjoy my cooking, laugh at my lame jokes, and give me space when I need it.
You are the one for me. The one in a million. No other man makes me feel the way you do. What a pity you aren’t real, and exist only in my dreams, visiting me each night when I’m asleep. How I long to touch you in the flesh, and to hear you, breathe.

Great hub. It really pulls you in to it. I thought well I am most of her list or at least a lot of it. I just won't share this hub with my wife!
Aazwan, thanks for popping in for a quick visit!
George, hey, you can show her wife! Maybe she'll appreciate what she's got even more!
Cindy,
When I read your list I am reminded of the words of Peter McWilliams, "You can have anything you want, but you can’t have everything you want."
I think that when we try to find the one who has all the qualities then we eliminate a lot of really good potential men/women.
If I had to choose just one trait I would want in a mate it would be #10. I would have two questions about some of the items on your list. Does this matter if he/she does not have #10? If my prospective mate has #10, can I live without #____?
In my opinion, the perfect mate accepts you as you are and supports you in all you are trying to achieve. Do you really need drop dead looks?
Tall order and big shoes for any guy to fill. Mine manages some of them especially smile, sense of humour and compassion.
Cindy - I was hoping to get to the end and find you'd found The One. Bugger!
Still it's entirely possible that the dream guy is better than the real guy.
Maybe ;)
Great list Cindy. Like Commodus from "Gladitor," speaking of his father's "40 Virtues," I have absolutely none of these qualities...I am what the French call "lame" (just kidding).
Until I reached the last paragraph, I was preparing myself to tell you that you're quite the lucky woman, then sighed when learning that this man does not exist and that what this guy in question is really your dream guy.
Keep your dream alive, Cindy.
That was great cindyvine. Up to the last one, I was beginning to wonder what fairy tale were you telling. LOL! Alas that's where my ideal man lives too.
Rumour has it this guy lives in a well appointed split level cave in Bumbletown. Good hunting, kid.
I have to say that #10 does it for me, too, and the rest are just extra benefits -- except for spider killing. That is a must! Sweet dreams, Cindy!
Well for heaven's sake, looks like we are soul-mates!! You can email me for further 1-10 times! Mwah!
Wow I was just beginning to think that the perfect man existed and you had found him and then he turned out to be like the fabled unicorn :P
Cindy, time to invite a fresh lot of applications I think! :P
Oh Cindy, have you been dreaming about me? I love you for having seen and appreciated all these qualities of mine! :p :)
Great hub!
John, I didn't have drop dead looks on my list, it's not that important to me. But, I hear what you are saying.
Ethel, lol I know it's a tall order, but one can dream, can't one?
Fastfreta, think many of us have the same dream! lol
Dohn, if we don't have dreams then we are just empty.
Frogdropping, unfortunately just someone I have been dreaming about of late. Have no idea who, but am dreaming of this man every night! Sometimes, quite erotic!
TOF, there's that Bumbletown again! I still haven't figured out where that is!
Nothing like striving for the best! However, hate to break your "dream-bubble", but don't think this dream's gonna come true any time soon. If I'm wrong, let me know. Fun hub, as always, Cindy. Thanks
Connie, with my current ant invasion at my house, think it has to be ant killing!
Candie, if we find one, how are we going to divide him up?
Diana, a unicorn man would be good! lol
FP, yeah, might have to revamp my Wanted a man hub lol
Jaspal, now you've caught me spying on you!
Alekhouse, there is no way it'll ever come true in the place I live now, but you never know, a Masai warrior might just end up fitting the bill!
I enjoy reading whatever you write.
I know a bushman who'd score a perfect 10/10.
And the best part is , he's looking for a partner this season !
BTW, why did you stop at just 10 attributes?
Why aim so low?
Thanks Thaddy! I enjoy writing just as much!
Logical, I didn't want to intimidate anybody by aiming higher than 10. Can you send that Bushman over? My starter motor is not working on my Pajero and I need it fixed.
Haha, I am so laughing, cindy, the whole time, I was thinking, is this guy for real?
cindy, why don't you write something about your life in Africa, sounds fascinating!
Wow where is the guy that has all this. I WANNNNNNNNNTTTT HIMMMMMMM. Oh dang show me the way!!!
I'm with BP on that~ Light the way Cindy! LOL Loved it!
Do I even have to say anything? Nice article, Cindy. Way to set the bar.
Dolores, I'll definitely be posting something about my life in Africa this weekend. If our very intermittent internet is working!
Blonde, I've missed you! We need to get that love juice enema out again and start scouring the territories. But man, saw the most amazing Masai warrior guy yesterday...
JJ, we have to start a hunting party, you me and BP, to find us some good talent!
Jess, thanks for the comment!
Wow! That's a great list you have here.
Thanks for commenting, Anamika!
Great hub, I have new ones if you want to read them x
I love your style, so light hearted, witty and yet funny. You rock as a writer! ;-)
Thank you Sequoiablessed!
I love your hub! I agree with all of the points you wrote here. Just have one problem, if this kind of a guy really exist =).
Emievil, I've just been watching Season 1-3 of Grey's Anatomy and have to say I think if I can just find a real-life McDreamy!
oh, i love this!
Karraline, happy I could bring a smile to your dial
oh ladies he DOES exist and he is magnificent! For a minute there I thought you wer describing your man and I was thinking "aw how romantic!!" :) great hub
Mayra, I'm sure he does exist, unfortunately, I've never found him!
Hey Cindy,
I loved the hub. Just wanted to let you know that this guy does exist. I found him once but he ran for the hills.. I will point you his way. San Antonio TX
Okay Monkey, so now we need the full set of directions to those hills.
