10 Ways How To Gain Energy When You Are Tired
77I am tired. I wish I could just sleep and wake up day after tomorrow. Does that sound like you? I know how you feel. I wish I could sleep and get more rest too. Life is too busy huh?
There are lots of ways how to get more energy when you are too tired to even do something. Sometimes we have so much stuff going on in our lives and we just wish we could get a 5 minute break or that tomorrow your boss will call and say you dont have to go to work tomorrow because he wants to give you a day off. Or school holiday will come sooner. Or children will grow up faster. Right?
Usually it doesn't happen. Trust me. I wish my boss would call me too and give me a day off ....he doesn't . Well, maybe one day ?! Who knows!
So here are some things to do when you need MORE ENERGY in your life.
1. Be more positive. Life can be though but we are tougher! You can make it. Like one wise man once said: "Never, never, never give up!" He was right. Just keep going even if you don't want to. If you are tired then just continue doing what you do and you will see how you make it through. And later you will be proud of yourself for not giving up. It is worth it. Trust me.
2. Keep your life balanced. Take time to rest, eat, spend time alone and do things you love. It is very important to find something you really like doing. Something that inspires you. Sometimes when I am at work then I just daydream about my weekend. Knowing that I can just go and lay at the beach or go walk in the city alone gives me more energy to work faster and be better so I get home sooner and I am closer to the weekend. It is also very important to sleep enough. Don't stay on computer too much in the evenings and just go to sleep! Stop wasting time on things that are not that important. You have to understand that sleeping IS important part of having enough energy and being in a better mood.
3. Drink water! Energy-producing foods such as coffee, chocolate,caffeinated drinks, will create greater fatigue in the future. Drink water. Water keeps you hydrated. Energy drinks will only bring you up temporarily. Soon you will "crash" from the large amount of sugar you ingested.
4. Wash your face with cold water! Prrrrrr huh? Well, it works! It might not give you energy, but it sure will wake you up!
5. Sports! Go and join a gym or start jogging every evening! Or sometimes when you are at work and get a break- go for a little walk.
6. Buy some fresh flowers and put them in an area where you spend most time. A 2006 Harvard Medical School study found out that people felt more relaxed and upbeat after having fresh flowers around for just a few days. I have tried that and it works. I like to have flowers around me. It makes me happier. Sometimes my boyfriend buys me flowers and I just cant stop smelling them and that really makes me smile a lot.
7. Be yourself! Accept yourself the way you are. Trying to be someone you are not will just make you more tired and depressed. You are unique. Yes, you really are. And one more thing.. You are special! There is no one else like you out there....why should you try to be someone else? Appreciate your strong sides and try to work on your weaker sides. But be patient with yourself and forgive yourself your past mistakes. We all make them anyway. Everyday! So know that you are great and next time when you look in the mirror...just smile!!
8. Be around good people. Choose your friends carefully. If people around you are unhealthy and have bad attitudes then sooner or later you might end up like them. Find people who appreciate right things in life. Find people who appreciate you the way you are. Find people who you get along with. Find people who know how to laugh even when things are bad.
9. Breathe deeply. Just give yourself a break for a minute. Try breathing slowly and your body will regain awareness.
10. Smile!! Stressing about things that you cannot change will rarely make anything better. Smiling is contagious and uses less muscles than you need for frowning. Smiling will make you feel better and will make people around you feel better also. Smiling might not give physical energy but its very inspiring. If you smile, then people will smile back at you. What is better than getting a smile from someone? It feels gooood, doesnt it? So right now when you are sitting there and reading this.. find someone close to you and just smile to them. It will brighten your day!
