Be Excited To LIVE Everyday

1) Do Something You LOVE - Follow Your Dreams

Ideally you love what you do, if not, find something you love you can do on the side -- with the hopes of having it make money in the long run. If you love what you are doing, you are happier. So make time for things you love to do.

Find somethng you are passionate about and work towards it. It should be something that gets YOU excited. It could be a project, travel, or even getting a dog. Find something that gets you excited and start working towards it. Know that even if it is work, it is working towards something YOU want. When you follow your dreams, it is easy to be happy.

2) Smile

This one is one of the simple things. Smiling makes you feel better. It just does. I know there have been many studies on it - I have found that it just works. If you smile you start being happier. It is that simple.

3) Get Enough Sleep

Everyone's body is different -- so I can't tell you how much sleep. I can only say that when people don't get enough sleep they are in general not happy. Being rested helps you start the day with a good outlook. So go to bed early enough to get the right amount of sleep for your body.

4) Spend Time With People You Love

Whether friends or family, spending time with people you enjoy being around makes you happier. You have conversations you enjoy and you can share parts of yourself.

5) Eat Well

Eat what your body needs when it needs it. Low blood sugar can make even the nicest person tend to be less happy. When you eat foods that are good for you at regular intervals, you are making sure you take care of your body. Watch after you eat your meals. If you don't feel good, try different types of foods or different amounts of foods. By being aware of what you eat and when, you can help yourself feel more comfortable and as a result happier.

6) Be Helpful

When people ask for help, at least guide them in the right direction to the best of your ability. Often when helping others, you end up feeling good about it. Even something as simple as giving directions to the nearest gas station can help you feel good.

7) Keep Learning

Learning keeps your brain active. You grow. You can dream more, do more, understand others more. Exploring other points of view can help you break patterns and learn new ways that work for you.

8) Exercise

Movement helps you feel better as well as keeps you healthier. Whether it is walking around the block, going to the gym or dancing, movement helps uplifts moods and gets blood flowing. Find exercise you enjoy doing and it will help you.

9) Gratitude

Making a list of things you are grateful for enables you to acknowledge all the wonderful things you have in your life. It also seems to help more wonderful things to enter your life. It is a simple way to get happier as it reminds you what you have. Simply being able to breathe, walk see, hear and wiggle your toes is wonderful.

10) Trust in Something Greater Than Yourself

It doesn't have to be God (though for me it is). It could be the universe. It could be your dreams. By knowing there is *something* out there, you are more willing to see ways to improve, ways to grow, things to learn.

I know some people will argue this point, but people who believe in something larger than themselves, live longer and are happier.
