10 ways to know you cannot trust someone on the first date

Communication is a key indicatior of future abilites to resolve problems. If it's like pulling teeth to get a good flow of conversation moving, and there is no humor, then I'd walk... no, I'd run for the door. Also, if he is constantly staring at your chest when he talks to you and it's more then a glance, and he then comes up with stories about other women who he dated that became too fat or too skinny, then I'd say he is overly concerned about your physical appearance and a bit shallow. Does his conversation tend to focus on his needs, wants and what a great guy he is? That's another key element that tells you he may be a bit too focused on himself, especially if there isn't an equal amount of time spent asking you about your interests. He could simply be nervous, but if he continues to go on and on until you are holding back a yawn, he could have a narcistic personality.

Money is another important issue. Is he generous? Did he tip the waiter and pick up the bill? If he did, then most likely he is comfortable with his finances. However, if he was flaunting his money while he tells you how well off he is, then that could be an indication he is using money to cover up an insecurity in some other area of his life. If, on the other hand, he picked up the bill and began complaining about how much everything cost and left the waiter less then a decent tip, it could indicate he's a bit of a cheap skate and may be tight with his money in the future. It may not seem like a big issue at the time, but money always becomes a huge issue.

Finally, does he have his hands all over you? A touch of a hand is nice, a kiss if welcomed is nice, but someone who is constantly grabbing at you and touching inappropriately is most likely someone who doesn't know the meaning of boundaries and will not respect yours in any area of your life.
