Love is in the air. With the Valentines Day fast approaching most of us are busy thinking of what gift to give our loved ones or maybe even be busy shopping for them. We want to show our appreciation for the love and support given by them. I take this opportunity to say ‘Thank You HubPages’ and answer a hubmob request on how to spread some hub love.

• Send a Thank you letter to the person who referred you

All of us who have been with HubPages would agree that we have learned quite a lot after joining here. HP has a dedicated group of writers including professionals in the field who write informative and engaging Hubs in almost all subjects one could think of. By joining here an amateur writer can improve his/her writing skills and gain confidence. Also HubPages gives an opportunity to content writers to earn income through EBay, Amazon, Kontera and Google adsense. I am also grateful for the amount of traffic I have generated for my Blogs through this site. So I guess it’s time to send a Thank you note if you have not already done so to the person who referred you here if you know them.

• Write a Post about HubPages in Community or Networking Sites

Most of us here have gained huge web exposure and increased our online income manifold, so I guess it is time to spread the word about this site as a thank you to the makers of this site who made it possible for us. We could do postings on our personal blogs or write on community or networking sites about HP.

• Add your HubPages Profile link in your Email or Forum Signature

I am proud to be a Hubber. If you are too then you could display your profile link in the site to others by using it as a signature in email and forums.

• Comment on at least 2-3 hubs a Day

Giving comments on fellow hubbers hubs are a way of encouraging them and building relationships. Motivation can do wonders and after all, Hubbers are the first to visit the new hubs we write. Comments also can help us gain more web exposure as visitors to hubs sometimes may visit our profiles after seeing our comments and may visit few of our Hubs. A 2-3 comments per day can make around 1000 comments a year and imagine the traffic you can generate because of that.

• Add at least 2 fans per day

Fans are people whom you admire or like something about. In HubPages it is a popularity tool and proof of your networking skills. When a fan publishes a hub you can see it and respond to it. Adding two fans per day can account to over 600 fans per year. If you are joining the fanclub of new hubbers and feature in the first four fans in their profile then you are also generating traffic for yourself through them.

• Post a Fan Mail

All of us like some encouragement and motivation. We are also sweet to those who are nice to us, isn’t it? Do you have something nice to say about a fellow hubber? Post a fan mail and let them know your appreciation.

• Adopt a new Hubber

I remember when I joined here I had no clue as to what I should do and did not post a hub immediately. I learned the ropes by trial and error. I wish I had someone to guide me then. The major reason for most of the hubbers not being active is lack of guidance. If we can help at least one hubber a month that can make 12 hubbers you can be friends with. You don’t need to look anywhere else to adopt a hubber, you can adopt one of your own referrals who is inactive. Afterall, you would be getting a percentage of their hub traffic for yourself if they are active, isn’t it? No pain... no gain!

• Send an encouraging mail to referrals

Referrals are people who are your down line and those who earn you money. You can use this step as a part of adopting a new hubber program. You could send a thank you note to them for joining as your referral and offer help with HubPages, if required.

• Flag Spammers Hubs & improper hubs which degrade the quality of HubPages

Quality of the site should be maintained at all times. I feel sad when I see people joining here thinking of this site as a dating site or place to promote porn. All hubs which you think are degrading to the image of HubPages should be reported.

• Post Hubs and Interact with other members in Forums

Your Hubs generate traffic for you. Set your target for hubs per month. I aim at writing a minimum of 10 quality Hubs in a month and have been doing it religiously which means I would have 120 hubs in a year. You can set your own limits and you can find people who write 100 hubs a month too. I have not been able to do that as I also have other things to do too. Anyways, ‘Slow and steady wins the race.’

Interaction is the best way of building relationships. You can also exchange ideas and get opinions and help on things you want assistance with in the Forum. I go by the principle of minimum 10 forum posts in a month.
