How to make money without a Job/serious and joking....

I won't plagerize Steve Pavlina; his are GREAT reasons - but I have my own.

Also, some of his *facts* are wrong; misinformed...but he is one of the most read peeps online.

=====================

Steve says the USA is the most heavily taxed...blaa blaa blaa; and he is dead wrong about that one. He really needs to bone up on his facts (when he uses them) - mainly he is simply entertaining to read).

#1 - taxation without representation! - WHY would you work to pay the government 55% of what you make????? WHY?

And what is Steve's alternative to getting a job? He doesn't have a legal one. He says be self-employed - geee...last time I looked you still need to pay taxes on self-employed income. I DON'T GET YOU STEVE.

What's the alternative to getting a job? The alternative is to remain happily jobless for life and to generate income through other means. <---THAT is what he says - the most widely read dude online.

OK - so---other ways to generate income.

#1 - play your violin on the street and have people throw money into a hat.

(But THAT's TAXABLE)

#2 - pretend to be blind and sit on the street and have people throw money into a cup.

(But THAT's TAXABLE)

#3 - You really ARE blind and sit on the street corner and have peoplke throw money at you.

(But that's TAXABLE)

#4 - ASK for money from passers-by. Also known as Begging. I am going to the IRS site right after this to determine if this is ALSO taxable. I know begging is ILLEGAL in many states. So - maybe you can just go to jail instead and they can feed and cloth and shelter you.

#5 - If you still have a home by this point (a lot of people just recently became homeless according to CNN) - have a garage sale. Sell everything you have that you can't live without - (not your sleeping bag) and move into the nearest park (oh, but you CAN'T- that's illegal too!) better make that under a bridge....

(IS THAT TAXABLE????)

BUT -- if you don't have an ADDRESS - how is the IRS ever going to find you to collect those pennies that you may or may no owe them -- and if THEY owe YOU money - well....then you have nothing to worry about. Because they don't WANT to know where to send the check if they owe you money.

See, if you owe The IRS money - they charge you HUGE interest and will throw you in jail if you don't pay up for longer (I kid you NOT) than Murder!! Tax evasion holds a longer prison term than murder.

But hay - if they owe YOU money - they don't WANT to know your address. AND they do NOT pay YOU interest on the money they owe to You!! How did THAT happen? You people call that a democracy??

I hope you are aware that this thing called INCOME TAX was installed during WWII as a TEMPORARY measure!!!!! It was NOT supposed to be permanent.

Guess the jokes on all you peeps in the USA. And all that money going to your war; no free health care, no books for school, no NADA for the people.

Want to move to France!? The statute of liberty needs a sign that says

"YOU WANT A PIECE A ME?" <---QUOTE BY ROBIN WILLIAMS

I think it should add send me your money and stay home! We want your cash, not YOU!

Extra Bonus #6 - sell your body. OH, but that is also illegal in most states; and ALSO taxable in the ones it isn't. So, you don't own your own body - your government does!!

So Steve, PLEASE explain to me how you make your money without having a taxable job! PLEASE!!!!!!

I say move to Canada. At least there you can pitch a tent and not get arrested.

Is Ebay Income Taxable?

Is ebay taxable????????

If I sell my underpants on ebay - does the government want a piece? :}

And if they do; which piece do they want?

I really want to know; IS EBAY INCOME TAXABLE? Like a hugemongeous garage-sale...Is it? Anyone??

To Job or Not to Job - THAT is the Question

You wanna piece a me...?
You wanna piece a me...?
...well into the night...
...well into the night...
To be Taxed or not to be Taxed?
To be Taxed or not to be Taxed?

With an 8employee* type job, do you feel...

Do you feel taxed to death?

  • Yes! I'm dying in the water here! HELP!
  • I do MUCH better income-wise on welfare!
  • I'm into thrift shopping, soup kitchens and garage sales
  • I pay WAY to mcuh in taxes; it is TOTALLY unfair!
  • Why should I pay over 50% tax while others sit on their a**es?
  • No - it's a fair tax base (can you say tha with a straight face?)
  • Well, SOMEONE has to support the war!!

Remember back in the 1950's when Dad would work and Mum would stay home with the kids, usually between two and four of them, and you'd be living quite comfortably?

Nowadays, one income is barely enough for two young adults with no children to get by on grocery sales and salvation army shopping.

It's not too much better here in Canada, either, or at least not in BC. (Especially not with HST coming into effect...) I can't work yet because of my residency status, and so Amy supports both of us. We have the cheapest apartment in the city of Victoria without going into low-income facilities (We pay $800 a month for a two-bedroom basement suite) and mostly buy stuff that can be put in the freezer, and never buy anything not on sale. Most of our household supplies were gifts or salvation army finds.

And we are still dipping into her savings account more than we should...when we got married, she had $13000 in her savings account, now she has $7000 in it after a little over a year...and the only reason for that is that her aunt gave us $4000 for a wedding present.

I still wonder to this day how my parents, in Ohio, managed to raise four kids on one and a half incomes, occasionally two and a half (My dad had military retirment benefits and occasionally would be able to find a part-time job...but never could hold it for more than a year.)
