The following 100 dance music videos of the 2000's are in absolutely no way a comprehensive representation of all the great club hits of the decade. Most club hits did not have music videos, or the video does not feature the dance mix. Also, this is not a critic's list. It's all in fun and there are plenty of cheesy videos on the list. But hopefully the casual pop music fan may be introduced to some of the music they missed, and the card-carrying members of the club community can experience some guilty pleasures and a little nostalgia.

Chicagoan DJ Colette' first album, Hypnotized, was one of Itunes most downloaded dance albums and included the #1 hit on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart, "What Will She Do for Love." On her second album, Push, she scored a top 5 follow-up with "If."

Cool fact: DJ Colette belongs to a troupe of Chicago female DJs called SuperJane with Dayhota, Lady D and Heather.

Layo & Bushwaka! are London DJs Layo Paskin and Matthew Benjamin. "Love Story", from the album Night Works, became their biggest club hit in 2002, peaking at #4 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart. A mash-up version with Kings of Tomorrow's "Finally" reached #4 in the UK the following year.

Cool fact: Paskin and Benjamin met at The End nightclub, where Paskin was a co-owner. The building was once a a 19th century stable for mail horses.

Moby returned to his dance and electronic roots with his eighth album, Last Night. He described the album on his website as a "love letter to dance music in New York City." The albums second single, "Disco Lies" with vocals by Shayna Steele, scored Moby his third #1 song on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart, following "James Bond Theme" in 1997 and "Move" in 1993. It was followed by another #1 club hit, "I Like to Move in Here," and the #3 hit, "Ooh Yeah." His new album, Wait for me, is set for release this summer. The video for "Disco Lies" follows the story of a baby chick who witnessed the slaughter of his friends and family, and later gets revenge.

Cool fact: "Disco Lies" was featured in the 2008 horror film, Cloverfield.

Norwegian DJ/electropop artist Annie gained international acclaim and blogger love with her 2004 album, Anniemal, and its first single, "Chewing Gum". The song was produced by Richard X and reached #8 in Norway and #25 in the UK. In 2007, Annie parted ways with her label, Island Records, without releasing her second album, but reappeared in 2009 on Richard X's independent label Pleasure Masters and the song, "Anthonio".

Cool fact: Annie named her cat Joey, after her favorite member of the Ramones and her favorite member of New Kids on the Block.

Swiss DJ/Producer Yves Larock scored an international hit in 2007 with the anthem, "Rise Up." The song hit the top ten in nine European countries, including the #1 position in Spain, Greece and Romania.

Cool fact: Yves Larock is a member of the Africanism All-Stars, a successful project of DJs and producers who collaborate with African artists.
