A movie poster is a poster which is employed to advertise a film.
A film poster normally contains an image with text, although this has changed over time from image-free movie posters through to the precise visual digital images of present day. The text often contains the film title with big lettering and most usually includes the names of the central actors/actresses. It may include something called "a tag line" (or short plot-line), the director,the names of the characters and so on. .
Movie posters are put up inside and outside of theaters, and sometimes elsewhere in movie shops and video outlets.
